๐ŸŽถ It's been several hours and 14 days ๐ŸŽถ... (name that artist)

Two weeks later....

I am back.

Consistency is key. I'm sure many of you have noticed my celebration of those who are making it to the gym 5-6 days a week. I cannot emphasize the importance of getting exercise (the kind we do at the gym, or a run, or other kind of intense workout) 5-6 days a week. Your health and wellness are not something that can be a part-time investment if you want to see real progress. They have to be something that you commit to the VAST MAJORITY of days. It should be WAY MORE abnormal that you don't workout than you do. The people in your life should not wonder IF you are going to workout, but rather WHEN during the day. I have seen such incredible progress from folks whose names are listed above just by showing up consistently. Add the push toward discomfort that some of them could use and ๐Ÿ’ฅ... the possibilities are limitless.

If it's easy, it isn't working. If you come to the gym, do your workout and say, "that was easy."  Then I hate to break it to you, you have just wasted an hour of your precious limited life on earth. See, our bodies need to meet a certain amount of strain and resistance (load we are moving) in order to progress. Sure. there are days when you will come in and need a "recovery" or "easy" day because you feel beat up. However, if you have come in to do more than just show up, you need to put your body in positions of difficulty, discomfort, strain. This is where we earn muscle growth, increased VO2 Max capacity, skill development... it is beyond the comfort zone that we improve. For many of you, I will encourage and challenge you to push beyond. But there are some of you that have expressed hesitancy and concern with challenging yourselves, to which I have responded by allowing YOU to guide your journey. It is YOU that I am talking to. Challenge yourselves... be willing to do hard things. Take it upon yourself to make it a little bit๐Ÿค harder for yourself. We are trying to increase muscle mass and decrease fat mass... the only way to do this is through lifting heavier than we "want" to.

If you are doing the two things I've talked about in this blog... STAY THE MF'in COURSE! If you need help on one or the other or maybe both... reach out! We are here for it! The most beautiful thing about this community is we genuinely want to see one another succeed! Even if it means surpassing ourselves. I feel this so deep in my bones.

Cheers to a new cycle starting. Time to get uncomfortable.
