We're only human...

If you don't know me well yet, I am the youngest of eight children to my two deceased parents and the youngest of 42 grandchildren on my father's side. I have seen A LOT of aging in my young life.  I have also buried a sister when she was 46 years old.  I don't come from a healthy line of stallions.  We are more like a thick line of Clydesdales.  Our life taker is our heart.  I can't think of a relative who hasn't died of either old age (all relative) or heart failure.   My sister Marian, 54 years old, has been battling the weight struggle for most of her adult life.  Most of my family struggles with weight... but I want to tell you about Marian.  I am so freakin' proud of her.  Why?  Because she continues to try.  She has restarted many times.  She isn't quitting.  She gets down, off track, goes through tough seasons... but when I put it out there she jumps in and gives it a go. January 1st I sent a 1 exercise video to my siblings... 3 sets of 10 air squats... as best you can, to a bench, to a chair, to a stool... whatever they could do.  Marian sent back my requested 👍 if completed.   So did a couple other sisters.  So I sent day 2, and day 3, and day 4.  My other sister's dropped off before the first week was over.  But Marian (Mar) has not missed a day in the 35 days I have been throwing out challenges.

I am telling you this to give yourself grace.... but DON'T give yourself a pass.  DON'T quit.  Keep coming back to making your health a priority.  Doing nothing is literally, a kiss of death.  IF you follow us on YouTube, you have seen the workouts I have posted - they are simple, very scaled... that is where Mar is right now... where are you right now?  You HAVE TO SHOW UP!  Communicate with me if you are struggling to show up.  We HAVE TO find a way to get you in here.

I was talking with Bryan today... while I own this business... I go through struggle periods too.  What keeps me honest is owning this dang gym.  For integrity purposes, I cannot preach one thing and practice another.  So yes I workout 6 days a week.  But there have been seasons where I have REALLY struggled to give a shit about working out.  Tired, feeling sorry for myself, and just plain old lazy, owning this gym got me through it.  You don't have that "luxury" - so I get it.  But you DO have someone in your corner who is pulling so hard for you to SHOW UP!  The more people that show up in a day gives me hope that more people are giving a shit about their health.  That is my happiness elixir.

Be like Mar if you need to restart.  SHOW UP.  Get your 👍.  Love yourself enough to give a shit!

I am pulling for YOU!
