This is your gentle reminder...

This guy is getting his train back on the track!
So proud!

I know I have been MIA on here for a bit... life does not skip over me and sometimes I too need to get my sh*t together.  So my apologies for those who are following the blog.

This message today will apply to some more than others.  But eventually it hits all of us.

If your train has gone off the track this is your sign that you should make every effort to get it back on the track.  The longer the break is from disciplined life aka haphazard living (eating/drinking whatever you want, inconsistent training, show-up effort, sleep deprivation, etc.) the more difficult it becomes to re-rail your train.  Pretending that it doesn't matter is not a strategy to your best life.

If you haven't learned yet, I am here to let you know that you cannot out exercise poor choices in the rest of your life... believe me, I have tried.  I am not talking about perfection, that is not the expectation, but giving a shit should be your bare minimum expectation.  This is about self-care.  I actually think it is better labeled, self-love.  How much do you care about yourself?

I have to ask myself these same questions.  I am not immune to the "crap" that is thrown our way as we try to figure out this adulting thing. With finances, relationships, careers, children (fur babies included), friendships, family... it's A LOT.  We have to control the things we can control and the rest, we need to "throw it up to God" as my mother would say.  We can do things that put us in optimal positions but ultimately if it is someone else's choice, we've got to let go of it.  Self-care.  That is us taking control of the things we can... what we eat/drink, what time we try to get to sleep, how many bouts of exercise per week we get, how and who we spend our time with... You are freakin' worth it!  You are important enough to care about this.  You are worthy of self-love.

Consider this a PREvention blog... a reminder that I see many of you every day, I follow your health and wellness journey from a semi-distance.  I definitely don't know what you are up to the other 23 hours a day, but I could probably guess how your nutrition and discipline are going based on how you show up at the gym... as I am sure many of y'all could accurately guess the same of me.

To those of you who are in the "good space", jamming away, doing your thing, stay the mutha fuckin course!  Keep your eyes on the prize of a healthy, capable future you are setting yourself up for.

To those who this was written for... REGROUP, REFOCUS, REVIVE that good feeling when you are firing on all cylinders because of the good choices you are making.  You can do this.  Your future self NEEDS you to do this!!!

With nothing but love coming your way... LFG!
