You are so much more capable than you realize!

Inspired by Saturday's workout... These are the things that float around in my brain throughout the day.

I wish I could convince a whole slew of you to push and challenge yourselves more.  Steer clear of the "easieR" path, choose discomfort over enjoyable, choose progress over "good enough", choose "fuck yes" over "better than nothing." Man oh man, how you would freakin' feel.  It would change your whole outlook on yourself and your ability... in the best way possible.  Of course I am most concerned about safety.  I want you to move well before we add weight. Once we have the movement down though, we want to push ourselves.  Comfort is the arch enemy of progress and growth.  Perhaps I have created some confusion with Zone 2 and the language I have used.  So I will clarify here and in class and we can adjust accordingly.  When that workout starts, we need to consider what we are doing as EXERCISE.  We don't need to be dying but we do need to be breathing heavier than normal.  Remember Zone 2 is not about comfort, comfort is sitting on your ass.  Zone 2 is sustainable AND just beyond conversational pace.

Some of us struggle with the cardio, some struggle with challenging the weights we use and some struggle with all of it. 😂 And that's ok... but knowing where you struggle can present an opportunity to push and challenge yourself.

Yes, pat yourself on your back for getting to the gym.  Some days are like that.  But that should not be the default.  The default is getting in and getting after it.  Challenging the pace you go, or the weights you choose.

I'm not bullsh*tting you... you are so much more capable than you think you are.  You are stronger than you give yourself credit for, you can go further than you think you can.  I think about this so often for so many of you.  I can't make you choose the harder option, but I so desperately want you to choose it.

This is my challenge to you.  Happy Monday!
