Amazing, beautiful machine!!!!

This is Scot Davis (Open Gymer Billie Davis' husband)... pictured here, he has just finished his 7th marathon (26.2 Mile Run) in less than 6 days.... ON ALL 7 DIFFERENT CONTINENTS!!! Antarctica, Cape Town, South Africa; Perth, Australia; Dubai, Asia; Madrid, Europe; Fortaleza, South America; and good ol' Miami, North America. His team of 63 athletes beat the world record for the World Marathons 7 Marathons (yes it's a thing) by finishing in less than 7 days.  The chartered plane was their hotel.  They ran, showered in whatever public club was close by, hoped to eat something, back on the place toward the next continent. Rinse and repeat SEVEN TIMES!!!! Can you even imagine what his body felt like through this and at the end on Sunday?  Lort.  Oh yeah, he also had the flu the first two days.

Other than giving you a jaw dropping story, I share this because we have each been gifted an incredible machine/system/organism in our bodies.  We are so f*ckin' capable of incredible things.  I'm not saying we all need to sign up for crazy things like Scot, some people are wired differently 😂.  I am just saying, you are so much more capable than what you think you are.  You have likely heard me say this before, but our bodies are meant to work!!!!  They thrive when we work them.  They 💩 the bed when we don't.  Not only do we lose capabilities, we typically don't like the way we look, and more often than not, we feel worse.

So when you are feeling sore or tired or unmotivated - find a way to get your ass to move.  Either in the gym or in the outside world.  That's not to say you never get a rest day, but I will reiterate... we should be moving our bodies WITH INTENTION 5-6 days a week.  Get rid of the "better than nothing" safety net.  Raise the expectation FOR your body.  The impact this will have on your life will be profound... mentally, emotionally, AND physically.

Happy Friday Y'all!!!!
